Since 1979, the Institute is engaged in cataloging, restoration and enhancement of the Villas of the Veneto and Friuli regions, also with studies and researches.
The Institute has already cataloged 4.238 buildings, including 3.803 in the Veneto region and 435 in Friuli Venezia Giulia region. The 14% of the Villas is owned by public or ecclesiastical entities and the 86% is privately owned. Also thanks to the owners' steady commitment, the conservation and enhancement promoted in 55 years of activity over 1.900 interventions and funding for more than 290 million euros.
Nowadays, the activities to support the conservation and enhancement of monuments have increased the role of the Institute, which mainly expresses itself by direct interventions of restoration and by the grant of financial support to the owners.
